Keg Machine Hire – Terms & Conditions

Mad Squirrel Brewery

1. Agreement Overview

By hiring a keg machine from Mad Squirrel Brewery, the customer (“Hirer”) agrees to the following Terms & Conditions. These terms form a legally binding agreement governing the hire, use, and return of the Equipment.

2. Hire Period

  • The hire period begins on the agreed collection or delivery date and ends on the agreed return date.

  • Late returns may incur additional charges at the discretion of Mad Squirrel Brewery

3. Deposit

  • A refundable security deposit is required prior to collection or delivery and is paid online.

  • The deposit amount will be communicated at the time of booking.

  • The deposit will only be returned if the Equipment is returned in full compliance with these Terms & Conditions.

4. Condition of Equipment

  • The Equipment is supplied in full working order and clean condition.

  • The Hirer agrees to return the Equipment in the same condition as it was hired out.

Failure to comply:

  • If the Equipment is returned damaged, excessively dirty, or not in proper working order, the deposit will be partially or fully withheld.

  • In cases of significant damage, repair or replacement costs exceeding the deposit may be charged to the Hirer.

5. Permitted Use

  • The keg machine is strictly to be used with beer supplied by Mad Squirrel Brewery only.

  • The use of third-party or non-approved products in the Equipment is strictly prohibited.

Failure to comply:

  • Any misuse may result in forfeiture of the deposit and potential additional charges for cleaning, repair, or damage.

6. Responsibility & Liability

  • The Hirer assumes full responsibility for the Equipment for the duration of the hire period.

  • The Hirer is responsible for any loss, theft, or damage, regardless of cause.

  • The Equipment must not be tampered with, modified, or repaired by the Hirer.

7. Loss or Theft

  • In the event of loss or theft of the Equipment, the Hirer must notify Mad Squirrel Brewery immediately.

  • The Hirer will be liable for the full replacement cost of the Equipment.

Legal notice:

  • In the event of theft or failure to return the Equipment, lawful action will be taken against the Hirer. This may include legal proceedings to recover losses.

8. Collection & Return

  • Equipment must be returned at the agreed time and location.

  • A condition check will be carried out upon return.

  • The deposit will only be refunded after inspection and confirmation that all conditions have been met.

  • Machine must be returned before 5pm on or before the required date

9. Cleaning & Care

  • Basic cleaning is expected before return.

  • The Hirer must follow any usage or cleaning instructions provided.

  • Failure to maintain reasonable cleanliness may result in cleaning fees deducted from the deposit.

10. Use of Personal Information

  • The Hirer agrees that Mad Squirrel Brewery may collect and store personal information including name, address, and contact details.

  • This information will be used for:

    • Booking and hire administration

    • Record keeping

    • Legal and compliance purposes

  • All data will be handled in accordance with applicable UK data protection laws.

11. Cancellation Policy

  • Cancellation terms (including refunds or charges) will be communicated at the time of booking.

  • Deposits may be non-refundable depending on notice given.

12. Disclaimer

  • Mad Squirrel Brewery accepts no liability for injury, loss, or damage arising from misuse of the Equipment.

  • The Hirer is responsible for ensuring safe and appropriate use at all times.

13. Acceptance of Terms

By proceeding with the hire, the Hirer confirms they have read, understood, and agreed to these Terms & Conditions.
