Kitchen Manager - Berkhamsted / Berkhamsted Cricket Club

Job Description:  We are looking for a Kitchen supervisor to oversee both our kitchens at Berkhamsted & Berkhamsted Cricket Club.  This is a perfect role for an experienced Chef de partie looking to step up to the next level. You will be the main lead in our small kitchen, ensuring that it is organised, efficient and serves our food offerings to the very highest standard. The chosen candidate will also be heavily involved in working with the rest of the bar and taproom management team.


DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE BUT NOT LIMITED TO
  • Manage the day-to-day running of the kitchens
  • Work the bar alongside the rest of the team
  • Organise stock and perform stock rotations
  • Train staff effectively, helping to improve skills and maintain consistency and quality in the kitchen
  • Ensure that all hygiene and cleaning standards are met efficiently and recorded appropriately
  • Ensuring all staff are trained in health and food safety to an appropriate level
  • Food ordering and organising efficient food preparation practices
  • Helping to create new recipe and food presentation ideas
  • Keeping up-to-date with kitchen paperwork
JOB REQUIREMENTS
  • At least 12 months experience in supervision within the food/catering industry
  • Ability to cook to an excellent standard and create with a high level of confidence
  • Exceptional organisational skills
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills
