Brewery & Warehouse Operative

We are looking for a driven and enthusiastic individual to join our brewery and warehouse team, playing a key role in ensuring that fresh beer flows through the brewery to the highest possible standards.

Working as part of our distribution and warehouse team, you will be involved in all aspects of packaging and the seamless transfer of beer from production to distribution. Responsibilities will also include deliveries and collections, stock organisation, and warehouse inventory control.
This is a varied and rewarding role where no two days are the same.
A forklift licence and a clean driving licence are essential.
Key Responsibilities
As a Brewery and Warehouse Operative, you will:
- Liaise daily with the Warehouse, Brewing Director, and Operations Manager to identify tasks and ensure the seamless transfer of goods from production into the warehouse
- Ensure beer is packaged to specification, including quality checks, accurate record keeping, and clear communication with other departments
- Clean kegs and casks, and wrap pallets to required standards
- Maintain hygiene standards, keeping the packaging area and equipment in excellent condition
- Update and follow checklists to ensure all tasks are completed correctly and communicated to the wider team
- Move pallets, packaging supplies, and finished product using pallet and forklift trucks
- Operate heavy packaging machinery safely and efficiently, following all safe working procedures
- Deliver our beer to customers, representing the brand with enthusiasm and product knowledge when engaging with trade customers
- Manage the yard, keeping the brewery and external areas clean and tidy
- Oversee stock rotation of kegs and casks, scanning used eCasks and kegs to close cycles, and maintaining an organised system to avoid unnecessary charges
Experience & Skills Required
- Strong communication skills across teams and departments
- A commitment to safe working practices
- Good administrative skills, with the ability to keep accurate records and paperwork
- Physical fitness and the ability to lift and move heavy objects
- A conscientious approach and a "right first time" attitude
- Valid forklift licence
- Clean driving licence
