General Manager Designate

We are looking for a charismatic General Manager Designate (basically a General Manager in waiting).

We are growing fast here at Mad Squirrel and so, we are looking for a to build our talent pool for upcoming sites.

The ideal candidate will have a good managerial background and will be keen to help drive our brand to its full potential.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE BUT NOT LIMITED TO

  • Overseeing all aspects the bar and kitchen operation.
  • Training and development of all Team members.
  • Managing the outlets social media platforms.
  • Organising events
  • Full P&L accountability which will include: Driving sales, promoting craft beer and our brand. Profit steering, diligent labour/speeding control and full stock management.
  • Maintaining cleanliness of the outlet and ensuring that there is a high standard of presentation.
  • Providing excellent service to customers.
  • Cellar management.
  • Food preparation.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

  • At least 1 year+ previous managerial experience, preferably in hospitality or similar job role.
  • Exceptional customer service and people skills.
  • Ability to manage and delegate to staff members.
  • Excellent organisation and attention to detail.
  • Formidable knowledge of craft beer with willingness and passion to learn about the craft beer industry.
  • Positive can-do attitude
