Mental Health Awareness Week
Looking After Our Heads & Our Hops – Mental Health Awareness Week at Mad Squirrel
From 12th–18th May, Mad Squirrel Brewery proudly took part in Mental Health Awareness Week, and we’re pleased to say it was a week full of connection, creativity, and (yes) cake.
With a lineup of feel-good activities organised by our very own Leah, the week was all about hitting pause, taking a breather, and reminding ourselves — and each other — that mental wellbeing matters.
Here’s how the week shaped up:
🎨 Art Workshop Monday
We kicked things off with some creative expression, colouring in coasters of course
🚶☀️ Talk & Walk Tuesday
A simple stroll and a good chat in the sunshine — proof that looking after your mental health doesn’t have to be complicated.
☕🍰 Coffee & Cake Wednesday
Midweek treats brought us all together for a little treat and a lot of smiles.
🗣️ Social Thursday
Time to enjoy each others company.
🍕🍺 Pizza & Pint Friday
A perfect end to the week. Great food, great beer, and a toast to the importance of looking out for one another.
We know that mental health isn’t just a one-week conversation — but we hope these moments helped open a few doors, start a few chats, and remind us all to check in with ourselves and each other.
Thanks to Leah for organising everything with heart and humour. And thanks to our brilliant team. We’re proud to be a brewery that puts community and wellbeing on tap — alongside the beer.
