Red Dawn
And here is another limited release for this autumn - yes we are loving out cask!
Red Dawn is a light mild that focuses on rich malt character, subtle sweetness and a smooth, comforting finish. It’s the kind of beer that doesn’t need to shout to make an impression, instead building its character through layers of flavour.
The first impression is all about biscuit malt, bringing a warm, toasted quality that develops into soft caramel and creamy sweetness. There are even hints of shortbread, with buttery biscuit, caramel and a gentle richness coming through together.
As the beer develops, darker, more caramelised malt adds depth, while subtle hazelnut notes give it a mellow, nutty character. A small hint of spice adds another layer without taking away from the smooth malt profile.
Despite the richness, Red Dawn finishes dry and clean, leaving behind a gentle roasted and nutty impression rather than a heavy sweetness. The result is a balanced, easy-drinking mild with plenty of character packed into a lighter beer.
Overall, Red Dawn is mellow with nutty overtones — a comforting, malt-forward cask ale built around biscuit, caramel, hazelnut and a satisfyingly dry finish.
