Brewery taproom

Nestled within our brewery, our Taproom welcomes you six days a week for retail sales. Fridges are stocked with our full range of cans to takeout and merchandise is also available.  

On Fridays and Saturdays, the Taproom is open to drink in and our pizza ovens are fired up ready to serve hand made artisan pizzas.  The bar has 10 Mad Squirrel beers on tap, along with select wines, ciders, gins, and soft drinks. 

Inside, enjoy seating for 40 with a view into the brewery through tall windows. Outside, relax in our yard which offers beautiful views of the fields towards Ashridge forest.  There is seating for another 40, and standing space for many more.

Located within the Chilterns, our Taproom offers ample parking* and is perfect for starting or ending a leisurely countryside stroll. Bring your family and furry friends along, the Taproom is child and dog friendly, though we kindly ask for dogs to be leashed and children supervised.

I’ve been a fan of Mad Squirrel beer for years - and their brewery and taproom is fantastic. Plenty of parking (or on a couple of decent country walking routes), great selection of their beer on draught (usually 8-10 on rotation), full range of cans - delicious pizza and they are both dog- and kid-friendly and can provide little bar games / colouring / challenges that always go down well with the little ones!

Also a good place to know about if you want to stock up for home, I will often pick up a box of 12 to take away, and of course they’re not the cheapest around but at about £40 with bulk discount for buying by the box keeps me happy for a few weekends! There is always something different to try every time I go in.

10/10 - my go to brewery.
